In the intervening decades since 1947 when MANUKAI, the very first modern multihull was launched at Paiko Lagoon, O`ahu, by Woody Brown, Alfred Kumalae and Rudy Choy, astonishing achievements in design, construction and materials technology have taken place. As in the past, the “trickle-down” technology transfer that occurs between the aerospace industry and ours brings about opportunities for unique thinking and new approaches. Yet, we remain steadfast in the belief that an overall design purpose and budget, as defined by the client, drive the use of a particular building method and materials application, not the other way around.

All of our designs are intended to be professional built. We offer both custom design services, as well as stock plans, generally to our scantlings, except when the requirements of another agency or classification society must be met.

Design fees for custom or new designs are quoted per project, but are in line with industry standards. Stock plans vary in price according to the vessel size and overall project scope and complexity, and classification as private or commercial.
