For Sale by Owner - Imi Loa
43'-Length overall pioneering classic C/S/K Crusing Catamaran
Imi Loa - Lying Long Beach, California, USA
Imi Loa, one of the very earliest C/S/K cruising designs, is for sale
by her original and only owner, Dr. A. Victor Stern of Long Beach,
California.
Designed and built by C/S/K Catamarans in 1963, Imi Loa (Hawaiian for
'distant voyage') has participated in numerous coastal and ocean yacht races
during her history including entering (and finishing) 44 times in the Newport Ocean Sailing Association's (NOSA) annual Newport
to Ensenada Yacht Race and 5 Transpacific crossings from Los Angeles, California, to Honolulu, Hawaii.
Describing Imi Loa in 'Catamarans Offshore,' Rudy Choy summarized her:
"She had been built to well-tested and heavier 'cruising' scantlings like Aikane before her. She loved the rough weather..."
Imi Loa is the perfect choice for the sailor who respects her classic C/S/K legacy and has the interest and resources to undertake a thorough renovation.
